Local news is written, produced and delivered by News Director Steve Shoffner. Steve has been the news voice of Erie county and north central Ohio since 1994 and is responsible for anchoring newscasts on four different BAS operated stations (WLEC / WCPZ / WMJK / WTTF) located in Sandusky, Clyde and Tiffin.
Steve holds a USCG Master's License (Captain's License) and has been operating TowBoat US tow boats out of Sandusky for the past few summer seasons. He has also captained a small tour bout operating out of the Cedar Point Marina. Steve is a member of the Erie County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) - a past member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, and has been very active in supporting various charitable organizations in Erie County, including the Easter Seals of northern Ohio. He has served as the on-air host for their annual auction event in Sandusky for the past 17 years.

The Ohio News Network is available at the top of every hour from 6am until 6pm Monday through Friday and from 6am until noon on Saturday's.
